PNL Nursing’s private clients include disabled children and young people with a range of complex care and nursing needs including:
For information about private, local authority and state funding of care please see the links on this page.
Our qualified paediatric nurses and experienced carers are available to help parents cope with children’s needs, allowing them to remain as safe, comfortable and well as can be in the family home.
When PNL is commissioned to provide managed homecare or nursing we will work with the child, parents, GP and local professionals to create and maintain a support plan that meets their health, social and learning needs. The plan will be kept under review so that it changes appropriately as the child grows.
Together we will agree the duties of our staff, how much care is needed and when our nurses and carers will work, e.g. during parents’ working hours, at night or weekends; full-time, part-time, ad hoc or for respite, to give informal carers a break.
Staff can accompany children to school or college, on health appointments or even on UK holidays and can liaise with transport providers and health/education professionals to ensure outside visits go smoothly. If desired we can also work with your Independent Care Advisor, solicitor or insurance company. PNL promises full discretion and confidentiality.
PNL staff receive on-going training in child related care (including neonatal or paediatric life support and child safeguarding) and are checked annually with the Criminal Records Bureau and Independent Safeguarding Authority. All PNL Nursing children’s care assistants come to us with evidence of previous work with children and excellent references.
