Applicants’ Frequently Asked Questions Q

Q. Why should I consider temporary work?

A Swift Employee Benefits survey of temporary workers found:

  • 54.4% registered for temporary work for the flexible hours and lifestyle
  • 29% wanted to learn skills or gain experience
  • 17% wished to fill an employment gap
  • 90.5% said their experience of ‘temping’ was “positive” or “very positive”
  • Over 80% said that the work improved their skills, professional capabilities and employability
  • 92% would recommend temporary work to their friends
  • Only 2.3% would not recommend temp work

Four-fifths of contributors had been in temporary employment for over one year and 22.7% for more than four years.

Q. Is work ‘guaranteed’?

PNL Nursing usually has plenty of work for good, flexible nurses and care workers but no agency offering temporary work or ‘zero hours’ contracts guarantees an amount of work.

What kind of jobs do you offer?

We have jobs for Registered Nurses and experienced Health Care Assistants. There are two main kinds of work, shifts in hospitals and other institutions (schools, hospitals, care homes, etc.) and home care work. We specialise in long day and night shifts.
